The Institute for Regional Strategies /IRS/ is a Bulgarian non-profit legal entity established on 8 September 2008 in Burgas to provide services for the public good including design, promotion, and implementation of projects related to the economic and infrastructural integrated development of the different regions and districts.

IRS researches the opportunities for integration of the citizens of all regions along the Black Sea coast and Southeast Europe through the role of their transport infrastructure and business, cultural interactions, traditions, and history. 

Among the top priorities of IRS – Burgas is our contribution to the development of the Bulgarian maritime and coastal infrastructure and its practical applications. We are trying to incorporate the idea of a uniform vision for the development of the Bulgarian southern coastline in its interactions and relations with the development of the neighbouring regions in all countries around the Black Sea.
